Quick Carve Indian Bust

I consider myself a slow carver.  Carving fast does not come easy for me.  I'm not sure if it's because I enjoy the carving process so much that I can't make myself go fast, or if I just spend too much time over thinking everything.  Some of my best carvings have been those that I just carve fast.  That makes me think I spend too much time over thinking.  It's just a piece of wood, right?

So I have started a new project, and will be trying to 'just carve it!'  Trying to not over think it, fret nor worry, about how it turns out.  I'm just going to play with it and see what turns out.  My goal is to complete the carving in no more than 4 days (hopefully in 3 days).  I'm not counting the time I took to rough it in with my chainsaws.  Just gouge work.

Here's my progress at the end of Day One.  I'm using butternut, about 16" x 10" x 8".  He's leaning forward and slightly to his right, as he looks to his right.  He's after something or someone...
